GOING BACK and REMEMBERING!!

I always like to start each page by giving God all the glory.  If it wasn't for Him, I would not have these dolls.  The Lord blesses us each and every day by waking us up.  I look forward to all the blessings He has in line for me.  Thank you Jesus!  I love you Lord, Hallelujah!

If I lost my phone and/or anyone found it and was able to open it up ~ when they see all the photos of my dolls ~ they would probably think, "nope I don't want this phone.  I hope the owner calls so I can give it back to them!" Lol!  I have about 3,000 pictures of all the dolls I own.  I think if someone would've told me that I would have all these dolls I would not believe them!  I don't regret buying any of them!  I truly love my dolls and I thank the Lord that He let me have them.  When I was in my late teens I used to be very quiet and shy.  Once I started playing with dolls, this was a way to get a conversation started.  My Mother gave me her camera one day, it was a 35mm and once I figured out how to use it I was off!! First I would take pictures of people walking in the street, just random shots.  Places that I went to and people I'd meet.  Once I started working, I was able to get a better camera and take more pictures.  I didn't start getting into dolls until I turned around 23 years old.  I used to buy them for my Goddaughter, she was only 3 years old and was not really into these Fashion dolls that I bought her.  Whenever I came to see her, the dolls were naked.  (To this day, I'll never understand why little kids take the clothes off the dolls - LOL!). Anyway, try explaining to a 3 year old about dolls getting sick from being naked!  Lol!  So, I decided to take them for myself and buy her a bigger doll.  Cabbage Patch dolls were very popular back then, so that's the doll she liked!  After taking the Barbie dolls home with me, I started playing with them.  I had such a good time!  After that I would buy a new doll every time I got paid, until I had about 8 of them.  As I grew older, I realized that I gotten attached to my dolls and it was time to go shopping and buy them some clothes.  You know,  just in case they wanted to go out!  On Friday nights I would dress them up, do their hair and turn on my stereo and then the party would start!!  I would just get lost in the playing and partying!  Then after a couple of hours later, it was time for them to come home and for me to go to bed as I had to work the next day.  One day, I was in a discount store just looking around to see what they were selling when I saw some wedding dresses.  That's when I decided that one of my dolls was going to get married.  (By this time, I had about 50 or more Barbie's, Ken's, Skipper and Crispy dolls) and also when I discovered the Integrity Toys play line dolls - Janay, Jade and Alysa.  They became Barbie's new friend.  Later on Mattel had made a Shakira doll, Brandy (the singer) which I did acquire and buy this time I had about 100 dolls!  And then I saw Dominic (IT guy play line doll) - OMGosh - what a good looking doll was he!  That's when I decided that he and Barbie (Asha) would get married.  {Mind you my mind goes back and forth in memories, so bear with me while I get this story together. Lol!} A couple of years ago, Mattel wanted to make some African American dolls in the various skin shades of Light, Medium and Dark Skinned - these dolls were known as the Shani line.  I bought all three of them and they were the best of friends.  Asha was the light skinned doll - she had married GI Joe and they had a little girl named Marisol.  Unfortunately, Joe died before meeting his beautiful little girl and Marisol grew up without knowing her Father.

I spend a lot of time on the computer, looking for new dolls as I use to collect Barbie dolls as well.  I think back that I had about 30 collectible dolls.  I use to have the designer dolls - Byron Lars.  OMGosh - the dolls that I had that were designed by Byron Lars:

1997 - Runway Collection:  In the Limelight

1998 - Cinnabar Sensation

 Treasures of Africa line

2001 -  Moja (1st);  2002 - Mbilii and Tatu (3rd); 2004 - Nne (red hair afro puffs); {I did not know that later on I would come to collect and keep red haired dolls - snicker!}; 2005 - Tano

(Once you start looking for dolls you used to have, you see dolls you didn't know about and start to get intrigued enough to buy them!).  Did I mention that I used to be on eBay everyday?  I haven't been in a while and its 3:52 am and I'm looking at AA Barbie dolls!  Oh before I forget to mention, while reminiscing about Asha and Nichelle, guess who is coming to live with us again?!! Yep, Asha and Nichelle....sigh.....this is how I get in trouble.  But what I want to do is swap bodies with the M2M dolls that I already have and don't even play with! Lol!  I think I'd better wait til they come and find them some new curvy M2M bodies that I want to swap with. :D. Right now, I'm looking at a Fashionista AA Barbie, Zig Zag - she has her hair shaved on one side and long blonde curled hair on the other and she's wearing a pink zig zag dress.  I'm going to see if I can find her on Amazon.   When you love dolls ~ there's no end!  (sigh). Well, just checked Amazon, they don't have her....going to do a wide search, LOL!

You know looking for dolls and having funds to possibly by them is DANGEROUS!!  I just bought another doll (you know I had this doll too and sold her or gave her away) Tangerine Twist, but I got her as a steal!  She was $23.99!! Ah, now I need 3 M2M bodies to swap!  (Groan)

It is now 4:30 am and my lids are getting sleepy.  But alas, I must keep looking for ???  Whatever?  A dolly lover doesn't know when to stop looking!!  Okay, my body stopped me - I fell asleep!  Its 5:12 am this morning.  Going to take a nap til 8 am.  Have a great day!  God bless you all!
