OMGosh! What have I done?!

Today is October 21, 2020 and I was doing so good - I was not on the computer looking at dolls.  I wasn't!  I was focused on my health situation, hanging out with hubby and trying not to fall asleep on that darn comfortable reclining chair!! Lol!  It's so hard to sit in that chair without falling asleep.  Anyhoo, my phone was in the bedroom.  I didn't get any more deliveries today.

So, I was looking at the clock and realized that it was 3:30 pm and I almost forgot that I was at work at home and in 30 more minutes I was supposed to call out.  So, I jumped up, grabbed my phone and the first thing I did was go to my eBay app.  Why did I do that?  Well, I received a response from one of the sellers who I bought a Flava doll from - only she sent me the wrong doll.  You know I still have this thing for dolls with red to burgundy colored hair and which is P Bo, and she sent me Happy D who has blonde hair with black streaks.  But when I took her out the box I couldn't recall who I bought this doll from.  Because I got an offer from another seller who use to collect these dolls.  She was selling three (3) P Bo's and one (1) Happy D for about $113.00 for all of them.  I had already purchased a nude P Bo with the burgundy with blonde streaks in her hair already.  So I have been looking at these dolls and WATCHING them.  Anyway, I realized that a lot of these sellers really want to sell their stuff, so they've been sending me OFFERS at a discounted price.  So when this seller with the 4 Flava dolls offered to sell them to me at $95.50 I couldn't refuse because she had the one that I really wanted!!

Well the seller who sent me the wrong doll stated that her worker didn't understand about dolls, and that she would refund me $5.00.  I paid $25.00 for the doll.  So I told her that I would accept the $5 and keep the doll, especially since the doll was familiarizing herself with Tika and the other dolls.  So, then the seller said she didn't understand how to refund the $5 and that she was relisting the doll that I wanted, and if I accepted she would sell her for me at $20.00.  But after I thought about it, I said, "Nah, keep the $5.00 give it to someone else (like maybe someone might be short) and I'll just buy me another doll because I already had that same doll coming very soon - either by the end of this week or next week.  Once I made that decision, I started looking around and I had this doll on my new watchlist....

Yayah!  This is a new and improved Barbie doll.  She is the Barbie BMR1959 which stands for Barbara Millicent Roberts, 1959.  1959 is the year she came to be.  So this is the newer Barbie, with tiny individual braids, fully articulate body (this girl can move!) and gorgeous to beat!  The first time I saw this doll, I my first thought was, "hmmm, maybe" because I'd already accumulated the four Tiny Kitty dolls, the My Scene dolls and now the Flava dolls.  But I realized that Christmas is coming and I always try to buy something that I like.  Two years ago, I purchased about five dolls - three were Lizette Dionne and Windy Evenings Angelique De La Nuit and Parnilla Ghastly - In The Storm's Eye.  (you can see their pics in a previous post).  Guess what?  She's going to need new clothes, because she has the new curvy body.  So, I thought I'd buy some more Fashionista dolls with the curvy body, steal their clothes and then sell the nude dolls on eBay very cheap.

Well, last night I was up looking at these dolls in Walmart.  This gal went for $33.92 something like and the seller on eBay offered her to me for $24.00!!  So, I was so excited that I bought her just like that and she's coming here next week!!  But she's going to need some new clothes....

Then I remembered, my girlfriend was telling me about these Fashionista dolls with the curvy bodies.  When I saw this gal, I really wanted her!  But I was trying to stay true to my 16", 18.5" and 19" dolls.  But when I saw some pictures of Tiny Kitty, I was lost.  I had to get them again.  But it was so hard, because Robert Tonner (he's the guy who made them) stopped making them so of course all the doll collectors who have this doll was selling them from $65- 125 dollars!!  I had signed up with a Tonner group on FB that caters to the Tiny Kitty Collier doll as well as the 18" Kitty Collier doll.  So, after going through the pages, I was just begging anyone to sell me one of their dolls.  A couple of days later, I was on Messenger when one of the young ladies on my FB group - sent me a message.  She was selling these dolls!  I asked her to send me some pictures and guess what?  They were the same dolls I was looking at on eBay!!  When I told her that, she was quite surprised.  She suggested that if I wanted them to give her an offer for them - so I got both of them for $50.  That's two dolls!  And they were in excellent condition!  But I digress, I wanted an African American TK named Dottie.  Dottie was Tiny Kitty's best friend.  Another young lady from my FB group had purchased two Dottie's and only wanted one and since I was looking for one asked if I would buy the one she had at the price she paid for on eBay.  So, I said yes - only she was from Italy and I would have to pay shipping costs and custom fees.  But I REALLY WANTED THIS DOLL - so I would pay the costs.  Once I figured out how much it would cost to get this doll, ($40 plus $17 shipping and I didn't even know how much she paid for the doll), I decided to pass.  I would just have to pray on it and wait.

Everyday, I looked on eBay and then somebody sent me an offer.  They were selling Dottie for $129.99 and offered me $120.00.  I declined.  Even though that was the doll I wanted, that was still kind of steep.  So, I kept looking around and nothing was forthcoming.  After looking for a week, I decided to make an offer on the same doll for $100.  The seller accepted (I know they really wanted to sell this doll) and I got my Dottie!  She's so precious!  She's more quieter than my previous doll, renamed Thea.

I hadn't meant to write this much, but here's the rest of the pictures of the dolls I plan to buy, strip them of their clothes and sell them on eBay.

I almost forgot, I remembered that I use to buy doll clothes for my other Barbie's, My Scene, Fashion Royalties from an Etsy seller.  Can you believe that was in 2008?  Wow!  Anyway, lol! I found another seller from 2012 and she is still making clothes.  So, I just have to touch base with her and let her know that I need some new curvy doll outfits.  Its a shame about this pandemic, but thank goodness there's little oval/park that I can bring my dolls to and take pictures of them.  Nobody really bothers me.  I took my gals out last week and one person wanted to bring some clothes to sell.  I don't think anybody would've bought because everybody is a bit tight with money these days.  Even me!  Yep, I'll be paying for these dolls - but they're worth it!!  Alright, time to watch a movie!  Later alligators!  God bless everyone and be safe.    Peace out! Lol!
